| Ann authors a newsletter
read all over the world, and is frequently quoted as an expert
source in publications across the country including Forbes,
BusinessWeek, and MSNBC. She has written numerous
articles that have appeared in a variety of publications such
as the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Business West,
Business to Business Magazine, and numerous newsletters.
Her book, Clear Thoughts – Pragmatic Gems of Better
Business Thinking, was published in 2009.
Ann is also a frequent speaker and has presented to a wide
variety of audiences such as CEO groups, the Law and Business
Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship at Western New England
College, and as a guest lecturer for a college course in Organizational
Behavior. She is currently featured in a podcast interview
on the MasterCard Small Business website.
Prior to starting her business, she spent 20+ years in corporate
America, from which she acquired tremendous experience but
only one framed certificate worth saving: "Most Likely
to Dispute Recognized Authorities," which was inspired
by her constant questioning and challenging of assumptions.
Ann graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with
a degree in mathematics. She is a board approved Master Facilitator,
an honor bestowed upon an elite group of consultants by the
Society for Advancement of Consulting®. She
is also a graduate of Alan Weiss' prestigious Million Dollar
Consulting® College. Ann serves on the Board
of Directors for the Regional Technology Corporation and belongs
to The Society for the Advancement of Consulting and the Human
Service Forum.
In her spare time, Ann enjoys sports and outdoor activities,
some quite unusual. She is an expert wilderness canoe guide
and, if that weren't unusual enough, she has been seen carrying
her canoe down the highway while riding a unicycle. She took
up ice hockey at age 42 when she got tired of watching her
daughters have all the fun, a humbling experience mostly spent
skating toward where the puck used to be. She also enjoys
quieter activities like watching wildlife and curling up with
a good book in front of the fire.
